Colic CD

You must have the Glass Horse CD in your CD drive to operate the program. This is our copy protection. No data is being transfered. Therefore, if you receive the message "Please insert the Glass Horse CD in your CD drive" the program is just checking to see if it is there.

If you cannot see the images or movies you may not have the correct version of FlashPlayer installed on your computer. This program requires version 8.0 or higher. To install the latest version of FlashPlayer, please visit the Adobe web site.

Windows Vista 64-bit Users...
The Distal Limb CD is currently unable to view any of its image files within the interface when loaded on a machine using Windows Vista 64-bit. We are currently working to resolve this problem.

Windows XP service pack 2:
If you have installed the Windows XP service pack 2 it may take longer than anticipated to load the Elements of the Distal Limb.

Does your screen look like this?
If so, your screen resolution needs to be changed.

Windows users: Quit the program. Right click on the desktop. A pop-up menu will appear. Choose properties, then settings. Move the arrow to change the resolution from 800x600 to 1024x768. Click apply, then accept the changes. Restart the program.

Macintosh OSX: Go to system preferences, display and change the resolution to 1024x768.
Mac OS9: We no longer support Mac OS9

Using an LCD projector with the Glass Horse
If you are using an LCD projector with the Glass Horse you may experience problems seeing the movies on the projected screen. They will play fine on your computer, and the projected screen will have all the other elements of the program, but the movies will appears as a blank box. The problem is that you must specify the projector as a primary display. Changing this setting will vary according to your computer, but here are some guidelines:
Hook up the computer and projector and turn everything on. If you are using a laptop, the first thing to try is to press the Function key (Fn, or Fcn) and then the LCD/CRT key, ususally F8. This toggles between having an image on both the laptop and the LCD, or only on the laptop, or only on the LCD. Sometimes having the image only on the LCD makes it the primary display.
If that does not work, try the following:
Right click your desktop. Click properties, then settings, then advanced.
At this point the software changes depending on the computer. You are looking for a way to select the LCD projector (sometimes depicted as a monitor) and change it from a secondary to a primary display. Look under the headings Graphics, or Monitor. If you have a checkbox that allows for mirroring, select that option, but you will still need to designate the LCD as a primary display. Some cards allow you to have multiple primary displays, others do not.
We wish we could be more specific, but this is computer specific information. If you can't find the solution, send us an e-mail with your brand of computer, model, and operating system and we'll try to do some research for you.
